Family with children who enjoy countryside escapes
The kitchenette was stocked nice with everything you need to make breakfast on your own time like cereals, milk, and fresh juices. We even made some boiled eggs once which was a real treat in the morning. Couple that with dinner at the pub downstairs where the food was good, I couldn't ask for more.
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly but worth it overall.

Had a fab stay at The Prince! Super cozy King Room with a comfy bed and a well-stocked kitchenette for breakfast. Loved the delicious pub food too! Only hiccup was some noise from downstairs, but it didn’t bother us much. Can’t wait to return!

The King Rooms are surprisingly comfortable and quiet, a real plus for a peaceful night's sleep after a long day of exploring. The excellent selection of beers was a highlight, even if I couldn't enjoy them as much as I'd hoped.
The pub's schedule can be a downer. it only serves food on certain days, which left me scrambling for options when I returned late. The soundproofing between the pub and the bedrooms is lacking—while it wasn't unbearable, the echoes of late-night conversations crept into the room. the self-service check-in could use some work when the pub isn’t open. connecting with the local vibe would go a long way to enhance the experience. On top of that, I encountered a rather uncomfortable atmosphere at the bar with some inappropriate language from other patrons, which made things awkward.

The King Room offered a cozy atmosphere, with a beautifully decorated space that instantly made me feel at home. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. I loved the shared kitchenette, fully stocked with a variety of teas, cereals, and even fresh juices. It made preparing breakfast enjoyable and convenient. On the last morning, the full breakfast served downstairs was delicious and a perfect start to the day. While the room was peaceful, I noticed occasional noise from the pub, especially during busy evenings, which could disrupt the calm ambiance. Parking posed a challenge at peak times due to the narrow access roads, making it tricky for larger vehicles. Considering certain evenings the pub kitchen was closed, having local dining suggestions or a more engaging atmosphere could enhance the experience. Despite the few inconveniences, my stay was mostly delightful, and the beautiful countryside surroundings made every moment worthwhile.

A commendable fit for a couple of nights in Helston with value for money. The self-service check-in was straightforward, which I appreciated after a long drive. Consider checking for local dining options ahead of time, as the pub kitchen isn't always open.
